Living Proof Live Travels the United States With Messages of Empowering Women

A weekend full of worship, Bible study, and empowering women is the goal for the organization Living Proof Live (LPL).

Living Proof Live is a Bible-based organization for women that helps them focus on creating a life full of Christian values. LPL features Beth Moore, an evangelist, speaker and author to empower the women attending.

Moore founded Living Proof Ministries in Texas in hopes to spread the word of Christ to women in need through the study of scripture. The ministry conducts about a dozen or so shows nationwide per year.

This year, it will kick off the first of its 11 shows in Springfield, MO. Over 7,000 tickets have already been sold for the event.

Springfield City Coordinator Stephanie Albritton tells the Springfield News Leader that this organization is a great way to meet women of different backgrounds. She says “One of the neat things about this ministry is it’s women from every different church coming together to ask God to unite our hearts for one weekend”

Albritton has attended several of these conferences herself. The first was 10 to 12 years ago when she was in college, and she drove to Chicago with a group of girlfriends to attend one.

Each conference targets women who live within a 250-mile radius of the area, but some come from much further away. Women traveling from further away might drive themselves, like Albritton, but others might take a motorcoach, or coach bus — a mode of transportation that accounts for around 751 million trips annually. Still others may have to book a flight, depending on where they’re from.

During the conference, men will pray for the women during multiple 15-minute blocks. There are also plans to decorate the sidewalks with positive messages for the women attending the conference.

So far, more than 100 scholarships have been given out for women to attend the conference.

Throughout the tenure of these conferences, Moore has been able to reach more than two million women with the power of God’s love.
