CWIMA Worldwide Connect Events Set for September 19

August 20, 2019  – Dallas, TX – You don’t want to miss out! On Thursday, September 19, 2019, media professionals from all over the United States and select European cities will be gathering for the Christian Women in Media Association (CWIMA) “Connect” Events. There are eighteen “Connect” locations including Dallas, Texas; New York City; Atlanta, Georgia; Houston, Texas; Nashville, Tennessee; Minneapolis, Minnesota; New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, and Monroe, Louisiana; and Hot Springs, Arkansas. The three international locations are London, England; Frankfurt, Germany; and Tirana, Albania.

The purpose of CWIMA is to advance professional Christian women in TV, radio, internet, film, publishing, music, the arts, and entertainment. The organization uses the regional connect groups as a way to provide opportunities for industry networking, professional equipping, and spiritual refreshment. “We continue to grow and are excited about the increasing international presence that Christian Women in Media is experiencing,” said CWIMA Founder, Suellen Roberts. “Women in media are discovering that these groups are a great support for their work and also provide valuable connections that could last a lifetime.”

The following is information about several of the talented Connect leaders:

The Dallas chapter is led by author, speaker and television host, Tracey Mitchell. Tracy is the author of multiple books with Thomas Nelson, is Executive producer and co-host of Life from DFW, a television program she co-hosts with her husband Robby, reaching millions via satellite, cable television and the internet. She is also Founder & CEO of the Thrive Conference. The Dallas Connect Event meets at 6:30 p.m. at the Dallas Baptist University Hurst Campus, located at 110 Grapevine Highway, Hurst, Texas, 76054.

Sue McGray is the Connect Leader in Nashville. McGray is the author of Becoming Visible: Letting Go of the Things that Hide Your True Beauty. She is also a former National Sales Director for Mary Kay Cosmetics and is a speaker and Coach. The Nashville Connect Event starts at 6:30 and you can find it at The Grove, 274 Mallory Station Road in Franklin, Tennessee, 37067.

Worship Leader and Pastor, Cathy Banks heads up the Lake Charles, Louisiana Connect Event, one of the newer locations. Banks and her husband are the host and producers of “Living by the Word” television broadcast. Cathy is a regular host of TBN Beaumont, Texas affiliated. As a conference speaker she travels the nation and abroad inspiring women to be all God has created them to be.
