CWIMA Worldwide Connect Events Set for September 19
Media Professionals Across the Globe Share Their Expertise

August 27, 2019  – Dallas, TX – Do you want to advance your media skills and make long-lasting connections? Then you will want to join us on Thursday, September 19, 2019 when media professionals from all over the United States and select European cities will be gathering for the Christian Women in Media Association (CWIMA) “Connect” Events. There are eighteen “Connect” locations including Dallas, Texas; New York City; Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia; Houston, Texas; Nashville, Tennessee; Minneapolis, Minnesota; New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, and Monroe, Louisiana; Hot Springs, Arkansas; Savannah, Richmond, Virginia and Spokane, Washington (Coming in 2020). The three international locations are London, England; Frankfurt, Germany; and Tirana, Albania.

The purpose of CWIMA is to advance professional Christian women in TV, radio, internet, film, publishing, music, the arts, and entertainment. The organization uses the regional connect groups as a way to provide opportunities for industry networking, professional equipping, and spiritual refreshment. “We continue to grow and are excited about the increasing international presence that Christian Women in Media is experiencing,” said CWIMA Founder, Suellen Roberts. “Women in media are discovering that these groups are a great support for their work and also provide valuable connections that could last a lifetime.”

The following is information about several of the talented Connect leaders:

The New York City chapter is led by New York City Trinity Broadcasting Network Station Manager, Chris Luppo. Luppo is also a television host and producer. The New York City group meets at ENNYC’s Center for Arts, Faith and Culture at 414 West 51st Street in New York City. Meet and mingle begins at 6:00 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m.

 

 

Misty Phillip is the new Connect Leader in Houston, Texas. Phillip is the author of The Struggle is Real: But So is God. She also hosts the By His Grace podcast and is a blogger and a speaker. Those in Houston will gather at Gables Tanglewood at 5740 San Felipe in Houston. Parking is on the 8th floor.

 

 

Destiny Yarbrough will oversee the Atlanta CWIMA Connect group. Destiny is the CEO and Publisher of a magazine, Salt and Light Christian Magazine. She also has a Facebook Live Show and leads a ministry, “Daughters of Deliverance and Hope. The Atlanta media professionals will meet at La Madeline Restaurant at 1165 Perimeter Center West 3350 in Atlanta near Perimeter Mall.
