CWIMA Cities Hold “In-Person” Connect Events in January
Several Groups Will Gather Nationwide
January 12, 2021 – Dallas, TX. – The Christian Women in Media Association (CWIMA) has announced it will hold “in-person” Connect Events on January 21st in several locations across the country. These gatherings will be informal get-togethers with no scheduled programs, but will provide an opportunity for members to share about their current projects and to get to know each other better.
The cities that currently plan to meet are Dallas, Atlanta, Houston and Hot Springs, Arkansas. The Dallas Connect led by Tracey Mitchell, will meet at the Park City Club at 5956 Sherry Lane on the 17th Floor. This will be a plated served luncheon with parking included. The Connect begins at 11:30 a.m. and the cost is $35.
Houston’s Connect Group, overseen by Misty Phillips, is planning to gather at 1:00 p.m. at B Studio in the Sabine Street Studios, located at 1907 Sabine St., Suite #150 in Houston.
The Atlanta Connect, led by Destiny Yarbrough, will meet at 7:00 p.m. at Ted’s Montana Grill, located at 6100 Avalon Blvd. in Alpharetta, Georgia.
The Hot Springs Group with Kandi Rose leading, will congregate at Hibachi Sushi Buffet, 6:30 p.m. at 4334 Central Avenue in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
However, because of more stringent Pandemic restrictions in many states, numerous Connect Groups will not be meeting in January. “For those groups who are getting together, precautions will be taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19,” said Tracey Mitchell, Executive Vice-President of National Connections. “We are hopeful the day will come where all of our Connect Groups worldwide will be able to meet in-person again.”
Christian Women in Media meets monthly, alternating between in-person and online events on Zoom. The next online international Connect Group meeting on ZOOM is scheduled for February 18th at Noon.
