A Global Collaboration Brings Habitat for Humanity Help All Throughout the World

Altisource Portfolio Solutions, S.A, a provider of real estate, mortgages, and technology services, has announced a global collaboration with Habitat for Humanity.

Altisource will pledge to engage its employees and customers in four home building projects in Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, and St. Louis along with 116 neighborhood revitalization projects throughout Michigan, Texas, Arizona, and Georgia.

Altisource will also invest in Habitat for Humanity’s clean water sourcing in India and the Philippines, countries that are also home to Altisource employees.

All of these changes are set to be implemented during this year.

Habitat for Humanity seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, community, and hope, according to the organization’s mission statement. Their aim is to give stable housing to those living in urban slums, which leads to stability, a sense of dignity and pride, improved physical safety, and the increase of educational and job prospects.

In refurbishing old houses, Habitat for Humanity invests in the future of the residents by installing long term quality equipment. For example, a brand new HVAC system can last for over 12 years if properly maintained. When a family moves in to a home, Habitat for Humanity makes sure all the furnishings and equipment are in proper order, so it is one less thing for the homeowners to worry about.

Altisource is proud of its involvement. “We are proud to partner with such an esteemed organization like Habitat for Humanity and engage our employees and customers in the effort to improve and revitalize communities around the world,” Kevin J. Wilcox, chief administration officer, reported to Real Estate Rama.

In addition, Altisource will be a sponsor of the 2016 Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project in Memphis Tennessee.

Established all throughout the world, Habitat for Humanity is the world leader in addressing the issues of poverty housing through Christian faith.
