February CWIMA Zoom Event Features CBN Award for Excellence Winner


February 1, 2022 – Dallas, TX. – Christian Women in Media (CWIMA) members will gather online for spiritual and media enrichment Thursday, February 17, 2022. The Connect Event will take place on Zoom at Noon CST/10:00 a.m. PST/1:00 p.m. EST/7:00 p.m. GMT.


The keynote speaker is the Christian Broadcasting Network’s Dayna Lovelady. Lovelady serves as a Digital Communications Specialist at CBN and speaks at national corporate communications conferences. Lovelady also writes for publications like CBN.com, Passages Israel, and Nashville Family Magazine. She previously wrote as a reporter for the Christian Post. She has earned several New York Times Achievement awards and HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) writing awards. Lovelady also has a deep passion for prayer, and has a heart for the homeless. She was appointed as a Commissioner of the Metropolitan Homeless Commission by former Nashville mayor, Karl Dean. She now serves on a committee that allocates HUD federal funds to local homeless outreach organizations. In addition, Lovelady serves as the Christian Women in Media Director of Social Media. She earned a Master of Divinity Degree from Regent University.


Destiny Yarbrough will provide the Professional Enrichment for February’s meeting. Yarbrough is the Executive Producer and Host of a Christian talk show, DestinyX: Making a Difference for the Next Generation. She is also the Founder and Publisher of Salt & Light Christian Lifestyle Magazine and the Author of Visions, Dreams and Destiny: God has Called you to be a Visionary, Bring Your Dreams to Life and Walk in your Destiny. Destiny, who is also the Atlanta, Georgia Connect Leader and member of the CWIMA President’s Club, has a mission of reaching the world for Christ.

 


Leading the worship will be Inspirational Country Singer Jayne Carter. Carter is both a singer and songwriter with her radio release, “Why They Call it Heaven” making it to #1 on the Power Source Christian Country Chart and “Dusty Road” achieving #1 status on the Christian Music Weekly Country Charts. Jayne has received five Top 5 nominations for “Inspirational Country Music “Female Vocalist of the Year,” “Songwriter of the Year,” and for “New Artist of the Year.” In addition to inspirational country music, Jayne has performed other genres of music including gospel, pop, classical and opera.

 


CWIMA President Pro Tempore, Sharon Hill, will provide the devotional in February. In addition to her work with the Christian Women in Media Association, Sharon is the founder of the “On Call Prayer” Ministry where she is a Prayer Coach, Trainer, and Mentor. She is also the author of three books: OnCall Prayer Journal, The Power of Three: How a Protective Shield of Intentional Prayer Can Transform Your Life, and The Most Powerful P Activity Book and Prayer Journal.

 

 


“This will be another uplifting and informative event,” said Marina McLean, Vice-President of Operations for CWIMA and the Lead Producer of CWIMA Zoom events. “We hope everyone will sign up to learn from this powerful lineup of women.”
