Soorin Backer Ministries—“Establishing freedom and true identity in Jesus Christ”
Nurturing deeper intimacy with the Father through in-depth Bible teaching is the absolute heart of Soorin’s ministry. Revealing God’s heart for relationship rather than religion through individual and community prophetic words earmarks Soorin’s teachings as unique and deeply personal.
Soorin attended Fuller Theological Seminary in the Ph.D. Program for Clinical Psychology and completed two graduate degrees: Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and Master of Arts in Theology.
Currently Soorin is the television host of Soorin Backer Ministries on His Word Broadcasting Network, Co-Leader for Oregon’s Christian Women in Media Association, and is a professor at New Hope Christian College. She authored, The Women in Jesus’ Life in 2011, and speaks frequently at retreats and conferences.
Soorin is happily married to Dr. Jonathan Backer and they are blessed with four beautiful children. They reside in Eugene, OR.
