Biography
Dr. Renee Hornbuckle, author, business woman, motivational speaker, life, crisis, design coach and advocate has always been drawn to helping people, solving problems and assisting them in reaching their potential. Through her passion for empowerment, she inspires others to make a transformation in their lives to get the corresponding results desired.
Up until 2005, she was living the American dream. Great success, equipped and prepared for anything. Successful marriage, thriving ministry, fruitful relationships and lucrative businesses. However, a scandal concerning her ex-husband changed her and her three children’s lives traumatically. Her family, congregation and community were paralyzed with the scandal, followed by shame, suffering and sorrow, along with the spiraling loss of finances, relationships and possessions. She found herself humiliated, embarrassed, stripped of all dignity and left with unanswered questions and the barebones of a shattered life and ministry. She had to make the choice to either rise above her crisis or collapse into it. She chose to rise; she and her children Matthew, Rachel and Jordan (who she raised alone).
Today she diligently served as Senior Pastor of Destiny Pointe Christian Center in Arlington, Texas; which she helped to establish in 1988 under Agape Church. She holds a BA in Business Administration, Masters of Biblical Studies and a Doctorate in Religious Philosophy. She has been a guest on numerous television and radio shows.
Close to her heart is Rachel’s House and Destiny Ranch; transitional homes for individuals in crisis and transition, which provides a place for them to heal from wounds of life until things get better.
