Biography

Dr. Kiana Dancie is a multifaceted professional, excelling as an actress, author, coach, comedian, and speaker. A child molestation survivor, she has channeled her experiences into becoming a Harvard-certified mental health advocate, leading the international women’s conference “Baggage Claim Worldwide.” This conference is dedicated to helping women release emotional baggage and achieve personal transformation.

Dr. Dancie’s commitment to philanthropy has earned her four American Presidential Awards from the Biden Administration. She founded the nonprofit B.A.G.S., with a mission to guide women to mental health professionals who can help them unpack their emotional, physical, and mental baggage.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she collaborated with organizations such as Lift Atlanta and Life Changers Christian Community Center to provide essential support to those in need. Dr. Dancie has also made appearances on TV shows like “Who’s Got Jokes?” and “Off the Chain,” and was one of the original hosts of the nationally syndicated talk show “Sister Circle Live,” where she discussed current events and politics.

She authored “Bye Bags – Laughing to Lighten The Load,” promoting the therapeutic benefits of laughter, followed by a companion journal, “Bye Bye Bags,” to help others discover their healing narratives.

In 2023, Dr. Dancie was introduced as a Forbes Business Council speaker and then in March 2024 launched her collegiate tour at the University of South Carolina, focusing on the need to release emotional baggage to except change in the workplace. In May 2024, Dr. Dancie will expand her impact internationally as a TEDx speaker in Botswana, Africa, presenting on the topic “The Substance Unseen.”
