Biography
Jan Shober is a media analyst, writer and blogger, as well as Vice-president for Strategy for Finney Media, a consulting group that specializes in helping you create experiences that cause your audience to come back for more.
Jan began her media journey as a ten-year old with a neighborhood newspaper—and continued shadowing her love of words to work in radio. She spent half a decade in South America working in international media hosting several radio programs. And she spent about twenty years with Focus on the Family first in leading the creative audio team then in placing programming on around 3,000 outlets.
Today Jan provides analysis on media content, use, and distribution plus leads group strategy sessions. She oversees the blog for Finney Media, contributes to the CWIMA blog, and writes a range of marketing and media-help materials. Complimenting this work, she leads team development.
